About The Role:

As an Entry-Level Geologist, you'll work under the supervision of licensed geologists and other professionals to help build your technical skills, gain field experience, and work toward professional growth, all while contributing to impactful projects.

This position involves executing site observations, performing routine field sampling, and conducting reconnaissance. You will assist with field investigations, data collection, and analysis, ensuring accuracy and clarity. This position will require traveling out of town to project sites, but also spending time in the office conducting data analysis, preparing draft reports, and participating in proposal preparation.



  • Field Investigations & Sampling: Conduct fieldwork including soil borings, drilling oversight, monitoring well installation, and in-situ testing. Perform soil and rock classification and oversee the collection of soil, groundwater, and gas samples. Lead and support subsurface exploration activities in complex and regulated environments.
  • Data Analysis & Technical Support: Analyze subsurface conditions and interpret geological and geotechnical data. Support laboratory testing programs and evaluate results for engineering and environmental applications. Assist in developing engineering recommendations based on field and laboratory data
  • Inspections & Collaboration: Perform construction and environmental inspections. Document site conditions and ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements. Support quality assurance and field verification activities.



About You:



  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Geology or a closely related field, a Master's Degree preferred
  • You have 0-2 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, geology, or consulting

    • Field subsurface exploration experience is preferred
    • Water well installation experience is preferred


  • You have a GIT certification, or the ability to obtain one within 6 months, is preferred
  • You have strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • You enjoy working in the field and are comfortable operating in demanding project environments



You Are Willing and Able to:

Perform the physical demands of the position with the use of company-provided Personal Protective Equipment, such as:



  • Working the majority of the time outdoors, conducting fieldwork supporting subsurface exploration in varying weather conditions
  • Walking over rough, uneven terrain and standing for potentially up to 12 hours a day
  • Routinely lifting and carrying 40-50lbs (field/laboratory samples and equipment)
  • Maneuvering field equipment safely, such as a loaded wheelbarrow, on uneven ground around active construction sites
