Pay Rate Details: $180,000 - 200,000 (Depending on experience)

Responsibilities & Expectations:

The Nuclear Program Director owns all aspects of quality, engineering, operations, and commercial performance for the IPS Nuclear Business Unit. This role carries single-point accountability to executive leadership, to nuclear utility customers, and to industry audit bodies for the compliance and performance of a 10 CFR 50 Appendix B nuclear supplier program spanning multiple IPS locations, including three Appendix B sites. The Nuclear Program Director leads interdisciplinary teams across quality, engineering, operations, and sales, and is responsible for an annual operating plan supporting the nuclear business.

Quality & Regulatory Compliance

* Own the Nuclear QA Program and ensure compliance with 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, ASME NQA-1, applicable industry guidance/NRC regulation across all nuclear-capable locations.

* Serve as the verifying authority for effective implementation of IPS Nuclear Quality Assurance Program.

* Maintain and continuously improve nuclear procedures and processes in partnership with engineering, operations, and quality.

* Build new capabilities within the n10CFR50 QA program framework to expand IPS capabilities.

Commercial & Business Development

* Own commercial performance of the Nuclear Business Unit against the annual operating plan, including revenue growth, customer base expansion, and account strategy.

* Direct and develop the nuclear sales team, including account ownership and opportunity pipeline management

* Lead strategic market growth planning for the North American commercial nuclear industry, including go-to-market strategy transitions and evaluation of emerging opportunities such as new-build, uprate, and coal-to-nuclear conversion projects.

* Foster a customer-centric culture that builds and sustains customer confidence in IPS technical, quality and execution performance.

Operations & Engineering Leadership

* Drive shop-floor performance improvement across nuclear-capable locations through hands-on coaching, training, knowledge sharing, and standard work.

* Set clear site-level expectations for Area General Managers, QA Managers, and Project Managers covering full-scope execution of nuclear jobs and projects.

* Provide and/or enable technical oversight of nuclear equipment qualification (seismic and environmental) and component-level engineering evaluations supporting CGD and repair scopes.

* Lead expansion of the nuclear product and service offering, including motors, breakers, switchgear, relays, and transformers, integrating new capability into the existing QA program.

Team & Stakeholder Leadership

* Build and lead interdisciplinary teams across quality, engineering, operations, and sales in support of nuclear program initiatives.

* Own training strategy and program development that builds technical and quality foundations across the nuclear workforce.

* Serve as the executive-facing interface for the nuclear program, briefing leadership on program status, risk, and investment needs on a defined cadence.

* Represent IPS in industry standards development and user groups relevant to nuclear equipment qualification and supplier programs.

Qualifications and Competencies:

* Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent nuclear industry experience/certification (Master's preferred).

* Significant experience in nuclear power plant operations, maintenance, quality, and/or engineering, including direct experience with 10 CFR 50 Appendix B quality programs.

* Demonstrated experience with Commercial Grade Dedication programs

* Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards (IEEE, ASME, ASTM, NEMA, EPRI) governing nuclear equipment qualification, procurement, and supplier quality.

* Proven leadership of multi-site or multi-team organizations, with direct people management experience.

* Experience managing commercial/sales performance, including account strategy, pipeline management, and revenue accountability.

* Strong technical writing skills, with the ability to produce and defend technical submittals to nuclear utility customers.

* Strong commercial operations and business management skills, with the ability to clearly and meaningfully report the state of the business to support executive decision-making.

* Ability to travel to IPS nuclear-capable locations, customer sites, and industry conferences.
