We are hiring a Receiving Team Lead at our Norristown, PA warehouse.

Job Summary:

To oversee the operations of the Receiving department, including having the responsibilities of all positions within the Receiving department. This position will also take an active role in the management of inventory monitoring.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Key receiving data into the computer from purchase orders, stock transfers, and inventory adjustments. Monitor and correct inventory discrepancies in bulk and shelf bins. Contact manufacturers and distributors to reconcile any discrepancies from inbound shipments
  • Oversee and monitor performance of all positions in the Receiving department which includes assigning daily tasks, ensuring accurate receipt of inbound products, proper labeling and bar-coding of products, and communicating with Purchasing regarding product related issues.
  • Perform larger inventory management projects to include counting of miscellaneous inventory on a daily and monthly basis. Review open purchase order reports; communicate with corporate office and Inside Sales Representatives regarding inventory issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Serves as a team leader to receiving personnel. Reprimands for inappropriate performance may be at the discretion of the Receiving Team Lead, but formal disciplinary action is done in cooperation with the Branch Manager and/or Warehouse Manager.

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required
  • Previous receiving experience required
  • Supervisory experience is preferred
  • Forklift certified or ability to become forklift certified is preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural manuals.
  • Basic computer skills, ability to operate a Windows-based computer and data entry
  • Ability to differentiate details related to product codes and descriptions (such as verifying a string of numbers)
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentages.
  • Ability to work well with others and independently

Mental & Physical Demands:

  • Attention to detail critical to ensure accuracy and completion of objectives
  • Able to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division without a calculator.
  • Regular interaction with people, team-player
  • Fast pace of work, requires multi-tasking
  • Vision: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Repetitive motion: reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, carrying
  • Regularly lift/move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift/move up to 70 pounds, and occasionally lift/move up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to climb ladders/stairs, balance, stand/walk on concrete floor for extended periods
  • Bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching
  • Ability to work long hours as needs arise
  • Frequent use of hands for computer keyboard

Equipment Used:

Work performed may utilize an RF (Radio Frequency) scanner, PC workstation, forklift, computer monitors, keyboard, mouse, barcode scanner, printers, scale, and tape gun.

Work Environment:

Work will be performed indoors in a temperature-controlled climate where moderate heat, cold or humidity may be experienced. Moderate exposure to dust and dirt may also be expected. Work will typically be performed Monday through Friday. Working more than 40 hours per workweek may be required. May require handling of products with cautious warning labels. This is a safety sensitive position.

Core Hours - Monday-Friday: 8am - 5:00pm
*Must be available to work overtime and/or extended hours as business needs dictate. This may include weekend work.
