The Immune-oncology Discovery group is seeking a talented and motivated Senior Research Scientist to support our human tumor bank. This individual will be responsible for receiving, preserving, and storage human tissues that arrive regularly; managing sample inventory and metadata; and collaborating with groups across Oncology Discovery to develop assays and deliver samples that will drive the Oncology pipeline forward; and support exploratory efforts to establish complex in vitro models. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, careful, highly organized, and collaborative. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in a dynamic and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Receive, process, and preserve human primary tissues in a timely manner
* Maintain an up-to-date inventory of samples
* Submit samples for RNA, mutation, and Lunit AI analysis
* Collaborate with Discovery groups to deliver samples suitable for assays
* Collaborate with Data Sciences to manage sample metadata
* Support assay development with primary human tissues
* Support complex in vitro model development
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
* PhD with 0-5 years of experience, BS or equivalent and extensive, typically 10+ years of experience; MS or equivalent education with typically 8+ years of experience
* Demonstrated experience (5+ years) supporting Immune-oncology research or related therapeutic areas, preferably in an industry setting.
* Expertise working with primary human samples, including immune cells
* Familiarity with omics databases and biobanks.
* Excellent organization and communication skills. * Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary, fast-paced environment. * Flow Cytometry experience (multi-parameter) Preferred Qualifications:
* Previous industry experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology companies.
* Experience with complex in vitro models.
* Experience managing metadata. * Spectral Flow experience preferred
