**$5,000 commitment bonus for eligible candidates** The Clinical Decision Unit at Duke Regional Hospital is a newly remodeled 12 bed unit.This unit provides a monitored environment for patients who do not required inpatient admission, but still need specific medical care that can't be provided in the home setting. Under the direct care of the emergency department team, this Clinical Decision Unit/CDU is able to provide aggressive care and treatment as needed for 48 hours until a definitive diagnosis requiring inpatient care is made or the condition has resolved so the patient can be discharged. Address: 3643 North Roxboro, Durham, North Carolina, 27704 Shift: 3 x 12-hour shifts, Days 7am - 7:30pm What you will do: The Nursing Assistant (NA) is a key member of the patient care team who partners with Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality care. Under the direction of licensed nursing staff, the NA assists with direct patient care, supports daily patient needs, helps maintain a safe and organized care environment, and documents care accurately in the electronic health record. This role requires a commitment to patient dignity, privacy, cultural sensitivity, teamwork, and adherence to established policies and safety standards.
