What You'll Do:
  • Design, develop, test, implement, and support mechanical and electromechanical systems
  • Create and maintain engineering drawings, models, and technical documentation
  • Support equipment integration, installation, and deployment activities aboard U.S. Navy surface ships
  • Conduct engineering analyses, design evaluations, and performance assessments
  • Participate in prototype development, fabrication, and testing activities
  • Support environmental qualification testing and validation efforts
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, production, systems, and software engineering teams
  • Assist in troubleshooting, root cause investigations, and corrective action implementation
  • Support production, sustainment, and lifecycle engineering activities
  • Participate in design reviews and technical presentations
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • 2+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, Product Development, Design Engineering, or related field
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM discipline
  • 2+ years of experience using CAD tools to develop mechanical models and engineering drawings
  • 1+ year of experience supporting product development, manufacturing, testing, or design activities

  • Understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and fabrication processes
  • Experience leading technical projects, design reviews, or cross-functional engineering activities
  • Experience with electromechanical equipment design
  • Experience with electronics packaging design

  • Experience conducting environmental testing and validation
  • Experience performing mechanical modeling and engineering analysis
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing and fabrication methods
  • Knowledge of technical, military, government, and industry standards

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience leading projects and collaborating across engineering disciplines
  • Ability to author technical reports, specifications, and proposals
