Title: Inventory/Warehouse Manager - Spanish Bilingual This position is approximately 50% floor supervision and 50% administrative responsibilities, requiring a hands-on leader who can manage daily warehouse activities while maintaining accurate inventory records and optimizing processes through an ERP system.
The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in warehouse and inventory management within the food manufacturing industry, along with strong ERP system experience. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required to effectively communicate with and lead a diverse workforce while driving operational excellence, inventory accuracy, and continuous improvement initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Lead and oversee warehouse and inventory operations across multiple facilities, ensuring inventory accuracy, efficient material flow, and operational excellence.
Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control processes to ensure accurate records for materials and finished goods received, transferred, stored, and distributed throughout the warehouse network.
Direct cycle count programs and physical inventory audits, analyze inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Establish and enforce inventory management best practices, including strict adherence to FIFO (First-In, First-Out) procedures and inventory rotation standards.
Oversee receiving, storage, transfer, and shipping activities, ensuring inventory is handled accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards.
Manage inventory transactions and reporting through the company's ERP system, ensuring data integrity, inventory reconciliation, and continuous process improvement.
Partner with Purchasing, Production, Quality Assurance, and Operations teams to ensure material availability, minimize inventory shortages, and support production schedules.
Collaborate with vendors to resolve inventory, receiving, and quality issues while implementing effective corrective actions.
Develop warehouse strategies to improve space utilization, material flow, productivity, inventory accuracy, and overall operational efficiency.
Establish departmental goals, monitor KPIs, analyze warehouse performance metrics, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational objectives.
Lead, coach, develop, and evaluate warehouse personnel, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
Manage staffing, scheduling, training, and performance management to ensure adequate operational coverage and employee development.
Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, SOPs, OSHA regulations, food safety requirements, and company policies.
Collaborate with senior leadership to develop operational strategies, budgets, staffing plans, and long-term warehouse improvement initiatives.
Support and participate in company training programs related to safety, food safety, GMP compliance, leadership development, and operational excellence.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in warehouse operations and inventory management within the food manufacturing industry, including experience in a management role.
Proven experience leading and developing warehouse teams, with strong leadership, coaching, and performance management skills.
Bilingual in English and Spanish (required), with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Extensive experience utilizing ERP systems to manage inventory transactions, reporting, reconciliation, and inventory control processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous process improvements.
Thorough understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, receiving, shipping, material flow, and warehouse optimization.
Working knowledge of food manufacturing regulations and quality systems, including GMP, SQF, HACCP, and other food safety standards.
Experience establishing KPIs, monitoring operational performance, and implementing process improvements to increase inventory accuracy and warehouse efficiency.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and warehouse management or ERP software.
Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification is preferred.
Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, make sound business decisions, and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
