Description

The primary duties of this position include construction field services business development and further expansion of HDR's construction services program in the western United States focusing on Western Colorado.

Tasks could include planning, directing and managing construction contracts and projects of varying size and complexity. This individual will be actively engaged with the resource management and coordination of several projects concurrently. Responsibilities also include development and cultivation of client relations with federal, state, and local agencies, and other entities. Tasks include proposal development, supported by HDR's marketing group. This individual will also be responsible for participation in identification of, proposal development, and project technical delivery of construction management projects, delivered utilizing both traditional and non-traditional project delivery methods, nationwide. Responsibilities may also include engaging and delivery of program management types of projects, directing and coordinating with multiple consultants, contractors and agencies, facilitating the establishment of the sequencing of projects across all HDR's business lines and practices.

This professional will also have the opportunity to guide their own success, engaging in recruiting engineering and construction professionals to assist in successfully delivering projects for our clients. The successful candidate must embrace an employee-owned culture with an entrepreneurial spirit. Recruiting, pursuit identification, proposal development and project delivery will occur in a collaborative, supportive environment focusing on teambuilding and team success. Preferred Qualifications

  • MS is preferred.

  • PE or PG preferred

  • Minimum of 20 years project management experience.

  • Extensive knowledge and practice of FHWA, CDOT policies and procedures a must.

  • Candidate should have excellent marketing and business development skills in addition to contacts/relationships in respective business class disciplines.

  • Demonstrated business development and strategic planning skills.

  • Good communication, leadership, planning and mentoring skills and experience managing 10+ employees.

Reporting Structure: Open to discussion and change. This position falls under our Construction Control Corporation Field Services group rolling up under Transportation Business Group out of Denver, CO with proposed direct report open to discussion and practicality for the individual.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Construction Science or closely related field or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in various aspects of construction planning and management, including field engineering, construction submittals, estimating, scheduling, and site safety
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with construction management software such as Procore, Prolog, Primavera, Bluebeam, etc.
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
  • Sponsorship (visa) for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
