Tesla isseekinga highly motivatedTechnical Program Managerfor our Gigafactory in Buffalo, New York tocontribute tothe design and development of new automation equipment and assembly lines. TheTechnical Program Managerwillwork tomanagetechnical projects fromkickoff to closeoutalong with several Manufacturing Engineering peers. Throughout this process,the candidateis responsible foridentifyingrisks to the project and for driving solutions. The candidate willmanage internal and external stakeholdersby acting as the point of contactbetween different individuals and teams.Thecandidatewillregularlycollect,compile, andconsolidateinformationfrom a variety of sources intotrackers, checklists, and reports.Thecandidateis expected to contribute lessons learned to Tesla's global standards.
What You'll Do
- Kickoff to Closeoutaccountability formultiple simultaneousmanufacturing engineering projects
- Work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders such as New Product Introduction, Manufacturing Engineering, Controls Engineering, vendors, etc. through all project phases: Sourcing, Design, Build, Install and Commissioning
- Ensurestakeholderalignment onengineering requirements, scope, schedule, budget, etc.
- Set goals, track deliverables,identifyrisks, and drive solutions
- Document and keepup-to-dateall projectresources,such aslaborallocationsand schedules, milestones, deliverables, etc.in accordance withTesla standard practices
- Prepare and presentproject status updates forproject stakeholders,management,and executives
What You'll Bring
- Experience in technical programor projectmanagement,with multiple examples of deliveringcapital equipmentprojectsvalued$25Mor above
- Prior experience with project management of external vendors and/or internal teams
- Prior experience working with engineering teams on electrical and software design
- Familiarity with project management standards and best practicessuch as Agile, Scrum, Kanban, etc.
- Technical writingand speakingcompetency, especially with the development of presentations and technical reports
- Knowledge of project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Gantt charts, JIRA, etc.

Expected Compensation
- Associate Technical Program Mgr - $87,120 - $130,680/annual salary
- Technical Program Mgr - $100,800 - $151,200/annual salary
- Sr Technical Program Mgr - $130,320 - $195,480/annual salary
+ cash and stock awards + benefits for all levels
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
