About You

The Marketing Assistant provides administrative, operational, and creative support for the shopping center's marketing programs, events, promotions, social media efforts, and community initiatives. This position assists with event coordination, content creation, tenant communication, photography, digital marketing, and guest engagement activities that enhance the shopping center experience and strengthen connections with residents, visitors, tenants, and community partners.

In This Role, You Will

  • Assist with planning, coordination and execution of marketing campaigns, promotions, events, and community programs

  • Create content for social media platforms, primarily Facebook and Instagram

  • Capture photos and videos at events and shopping center activities for marketing use

  • Assist with developing and maintaining marketing materials, signage, event displays, and promotional installations.

  • Support event operations, including setup, guest registration, attendee engagement, and event breakdown

  • Welcome and assist shoppers, visitors, and attendees while providing information about the event, tenant locations, and amenities

  • Track event participation and gather feedback, photos, and engagement metrics to support marketing efforts

  • Report maintenance, safety, or presentation concerns to management

What You'll Bring

  • Prior experience in marketing, customer service, hospitality, retail events, or related field is preferred

  • Experience with social media platforms with ability to create engaging content, including Facebook, Instagram, Reels

  • Photography, graphic design, or Canva experience is a plus

  • Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and customer service skills

  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.

  • Portfolio, social media samples, or examples of creative work encouraged

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during events.

  • Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds.

  • Ability to assist with event setup and movement of marketing materials as needed.

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including sun, heat, wind, and light rain.

Area/Location Specific: Kailua-Kona, HI

Approximate Compensation Range for this Role: $19/hour OR $20/hour

Our compensation ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all national locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
