Position Overview: This role is centered on the development, coordination, and continuous improvement of the year 2 integrated clinical education curriculum within the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program. The position emphasizes longitudinal clinical course design, clinical partnership management, and student progression across practice-based learning experiences, with teaching serving in support of these broader programmatic goals. The position requires a physical therapy degree with licensure in Minnesota. Preference will be given to applicants with prior classroom experience; a history of, strong interpersonal skills, a team-based philosophy, and commitment and passion for the profession of physical therapy and its ongoing advancement to benefit care provision and patient outcomes for the diverse populations we serve. Candidates should have a demonstrated capacity for collaboration across a variety of settings. About the Department
The Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Minnesota was created more than 50 years ago in response to a legislative mandate to train primary care physicians. Since then, we have been leaders in transforming the specialty through education, research, and patient care. We are the academic sponsor of seven family medicine residencies-five in the Twin Cities, two in Greater Minnesota. We are involved in medical student education activities across the Medical School's two campuses: Twin Cities and Duluth. We sponsor five fellowship programs-sports medicine, hospice and palliative medicine, behavioral medicine, clinical informatics, and human sexuality- and offer continuing medical education opportunities. Pay Range: $50,000 - $62,120 per year; depending on education, qualifications, and experience. Most offers land around the midpoint of this range, tailored to the selected candidate's specific background.
