The Role

The Accounting Specialist role focuses on billing, Accounts Receivable management, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting reports.

Job Summary

1. Progress billing: Prepare, review, and submit accurate customer invoices tied directly to project agreements
2. Cross-team collaboration: Partner closely with Project Managers and clients to manage billings and resolve any discrepancies
3. AR ownership: Drive accounts receivable performance by managing daily deposits and aging backlogs
4. Expense allocation: Assist with coding and allocating monthly operational expenses
5. Financial forecasting: Assist with preparation of monthly budget and forward-looking reports
6. Work independently: Own your daily workflow to meet monthly close deadlines with minimal oversight
   

Qualifications

1. Experience: 2 years + recent related experience OR degree in Business/Accounting
2. Eye for detail: An analytical mind that catches errors before they impact the bottom line
3. Discretion: Commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality as needed
4. Industry tech: Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables) and exposure to construction a plus
5. Screening: Ability to successfully pass a standard pre-employment (post offer) background check
