Job Description:

The Senior Manager, Technology Operations will play a critical role in bridging field engineering operations, program management, and strategic technology deployment to drive exceptional service delivery across JLL's diverse client portfolio. Reporting to the Global Technology Lead, this senior-level position is responsible for advancing operational technology enablement, designing and optimizing enterprise-wide workflows, and executing technology transformation initiatives across large, multi-site portfolios, including retail, financial services, and critical environments.

The ideal candidate will:
Leverage deep technical and programmatic expertise, the role orchestrates the integration of building automation, work order management, and IoT systems to maximize operational efficiency, service excellence, and technology-driven client value. In this capacity, the position serves as a force multiplier-aligning distributed field teams, engineering best practices, and technology platforms to deliver seamless, scalable, and innovative workplace solutions for leading global organizations.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Support & Digital Transformation

  • Develop and execute operational technology workflow strategies aligned with divisional and client objectives, driving digital transformation and workflow optimization across multiple accounts.

  • Serve as a technology resource in discussions and business development, articulating the value of workflow automation, advanced analytics, integrated systems, and smart buildings.

  • Supporting the adoption of technology roadmaps that enable scalable and efficient operational technology deployment across diverse industry portfolios.

Program & Project Management

  • Support end-to-end program and project management for new technology deployments, enhancements of existing platforms (CMMS, BMS, IoT, data integration), and process improvement initiatives.

  • Supporting the seamless integration and ongoing optimization of disparate technology systems and data sources, ensuring interoperability and future readiness.

  • Deliver portfolio-wide initiatives, managing budgets, resource allocation, ROI measurement, and project outcomes to align with client and organizational priorities.

Operational Excellence & Field Optimization

  • Direct operational workflow improvements, including route optimization, asset data validation, and technology adoption, to enhance field service delivery in highly distributed retail, financial service, and critical facility portfolios.

  • Manage and coordinate complex labor environments, including union engineers, contractors, and third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with legal and client requirements.

  • Serve as the escalation point for critical operations issues, portfolio contingency plans, compliance reporting, and technology-driven risk controls.

Workflow Automation, Data Integration & Analytics

  • Champion the deployment of AI-driven workflow automation, predictive maintenance, intelligent scheduling, and analytics platforms to enhance process efficiency and service outcomes.

  • Lead adoption of best practices in data governance and reporting, enabling actionable insights and continuous workflow optimization across operational technology ecosystems.

  • Oversee asset data warehousing, critical database management (e.g., Microsoft Access, Power Query), and GIS-based portfolio mapping supporting operational decision-making.

Innovation & Technology Proficiencies

  • Foster a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement, providing clear performance metrics, individualized development plans, and succession pathways.

  • Cultivate technical competencies in emerging OT domains, including AI automation, IoT integration, and smart building solutions.

Stakeholder Management & Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Build trusted partnerships with Workplace Operations, Engineering, Client counterparts, and vendor partners to design and deliver client-centric solutions.

  • Act as liaison between field operations, technology program teams, and business leaders to ensure alignment, efficiency, and high-quality deliverables.

  • Support the representation of JLL at industry and client forums, supporting new business opportunities and technology innovation initiatives.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 7-10 years in operational technology, facilities management, engineering, or FM technology program management.

  • Proven expertise with major building automation systems (BMS, DDC), CMMS/work order systems, IoT, asset management, and complex system integration.

  • Demonstrated experience optimizing field operations across large, geographically diverse portfolios-including expertise in union labor coordination, vendor/contractor management, and compliance.

  • Strong track record executing technology-enabled process improvements, workflow automation projects (AI, BI), and advancing data governance standards.

  • Deep program/project management experience, including financial acumen (budgets, ROI analysis), portfolio-level reporting, and resource planning.

  • Proficiency in IT/OT security, technology infrastructure, disaster recovery, and patch management.

  • Exceptional executive communication, stakeholder influence, and ability to drive cross-functional programs to successful outcomes.

Preferred Skills and Certifications

  • Direct experience with JLL technology platforms (Corrigo, Azara, Prism, Smart Building Platform) or equivalent operational technology systems.

  • Advanced skills with data platforms (Excel, Power Query, Power Pivot, Microsoft Access), GIS tools, and work order/asset management systems.

  • Demonstrated success delivering technology adoption and digital transformation outcomes in both retail and financial sector environments.

  • Familiarity with service provider management in corporate real estate, including contract review, vendor performance, and relationship development.

Estimated compensation for this position:

120,000.00 - 150,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
