Quality Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

* Ensure compliance with BOS, ISO/TS 16949, IATF requirements, and customespecificstandards.
* Understand plant and customer KPIs and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meetor exceed targets.
* Participate in Layered Process Audits (LPA) as required

* Drive continuous improvement across all production quality deliverables
* Support advancement of Operation Description Sheets (ODS)
* Identify and apply appropriate statistical tools; mentor team members on their proper use.

* Support PPAP preparation and submission
* Obtain internal approvals prior to customer submission
* Develop and maintain:

• Control Plans
• PFMEA (with Manufacturing Engineering support)
• Inspection and containment plans

* Complete all customer-specific Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) requirements.

* Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers regarding quality concerns
* Communicate effectively between customers and plant operations
* Visit customer sites as needed
* Initiate and manage Quality Alerts through closure
* Analyze returned materials and ensure root cause identification and corrective actionimplementation.

* Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action processes
* Prepare and submit 8D reports to customers in a timely manner
* Conduct capability studies and ensure compliance with customer and internal
requirements

* Ensure proper preparation and submission of required documentation, including:

• Part Submission Warrant (PSW)
• Design records (drawings, specifications, materials)
• Process flow diagrams
• PFMEA
• Control plans
• Dimensional results and sample submissions

* Utilize customer-specific systems and reporting tools
* Maintain accurate records and documentation for quality processes

• ISO/TS 16949 / IATF standards
• PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans
• 8D problem-solving methodology
• Continuous improvement methodologies
