Alaska Automation Capability - Network Infrastructure Engineer - SME Location: Anchorage, AK Job Description: We are seeking a highly experienced Network Infrastructure Engineer - SMEto support the Alaska Automation Capability (AAC) program, a critical FAA initiative modernizing flight service infrastructure across 17 Alaska Flight Service Stations (FSS). This role serves as the technical authority for network architecture, telecommunications integration, and system digitization - ensuring the delivery of a resilient, scalable, and interoperable communications and automation platform in one of the most operationally demanding environments in the National Airspace System (NAS). The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in VoIP, legacy radio integration, voice switching systems, and enterprise network architecture, combined with a strong background in FAA or aviation-sector systems integration. Work Location: This position is 100% on-site, located in Anchorage, Alaska. The ability to travel to remote locations.
Responsibilities:
Support the installation and configuration of network infrastructures and validate digitization suite interoperability with the modular AAC architecture prior to field deployment.

Target Salary Range $112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
