THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position plays an important role in supporting real estate activities that help public projects move ahead on schedule. The work involves advanced technical tasks and coordination across multiple functions. As a Right of Way Administrator 1, you will perform the following duties:

  • Project Review: Review right-of-way projects and recommend appropriate clearance levels
  • Payment Oversight: Verify claim payments and ensure documentation meets legal and policy requirements
  • System Management: Support administration of the ROW Office database and assist users with system needs
  • Vendor Coordination: Confirm vendor information, monitor payment processes, and resolve related issues
  • Program Support: Assist with the Highway Beautification Program and help prepare cases for review
  • IT Guidance: Provide technical coordination within the division and maintain key information tools

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • This position may be eligible for alternate work schedule (AWS)
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Real Estate Specialist or Real Estate Specialist Supervisor (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Four years of experience in technical real estate work, and an associate degree; or satisfactory completion of two years of college; or
  • Three years of experience in technical real estate work, and a bachelor's degree; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
