THE POSITION

The Fiscal Technician position with Indiana County Children and Youth Services gives you the chance to support an agency that makes a real difference for families. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports the financial functions of the agency by handling complex bookkeeping tasks. The work helps maintain accurate records that support agency operations. As a Fiscal Technician, you will perform the following duties:

  • Financial Recording: Record and monitor financial information for accuracy in agency systems
  • Payroll Processing: Handle payroll related entries and updates in required databases
  • Data Entry: Enter financial and administrative data into state or county systems
  • Budget Support: Assist in preparing charts, spreadsheets, and budget documents
  • Documentation Handling: Prepare Civil Service materials and maintain organized files

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Fiscal Assistant; or
  • Three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices; and graduation from high school; or
  • One year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an associate degree in accounting or business administration; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirement:

  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
