Job Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting financial planning and analysis activities through budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, variance analysis, and strategic business support. This role partners with finance leadership and cross-functional teams to provide actionable financial insights, support decision-making, and drive process improvements. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, financial modeling expertise, and experience working within complex corporate or manufacturing environments.

Job Responsibilities



  • Prepare and analyze financial plans, forecasts, budgets, latest estimates, and long-range projections for profit and loss, balance sheet, and operational performance metrics.
  • Develop financial reports and analyses that support management decision-making while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal financial policies.
  • Coordinate planning calendars, key deliverables, and reporting timelines to support efficient budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Create and maintain financial models, reporting tools, dashboards, and templates to improve financial planning and reporting efficiency.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial planning cycles.
  • Partner with business leaders to develop annual operating plans, forecasts, and expense budgets.
  • Perform variance analysis on revenue, expenses, operational metrics, and key financial performance indicators.
  • Support Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes through financial reporting and performance analysis.
  • Prepare and analyze sales forecasts, revenue projections, and business performance metrics.
  • Complete month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, revenue analysis, expense reporting, and project spend reviews.
  • Consolidate financial data from multiple business units and functional areas.
  • Maintain financial scorecards and reporting metrics to monitor organizational performance.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analyses, data mining, business modeling, and special projects for leadership.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and enhanced reporting capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial visibility and support strategic initiatives.


Job Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in finance, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), accounting, or related financial roles.
  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and analytical skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with financial reporting, consolidations, and variance analysis.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.


Education



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required.


Work Experience



  • Minimum of 7 years of accounting, finance, FP&A, or related experience.
  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Experience with financial consolidations and corporate reporting.
  • Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
  • Experience within a large corporate or Fortune 500 environment preferred.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional business operations and strategic initiatives preferred.
