Coordinator - Clinical Staff Services Management

The Role

As a member of the Clinical Staff Office reporting to the Chief Medical Officer of University Medical Center, you will serve as a key resource supporting provider performance monitoring, regulatory compliance, and medical staff governance activities. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining the highest standards of care across UVA Health and affiliated facilities.

This position works closely with Clinical Staff leadership and physician leaders to manage critical processes associated with Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE), Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE), credentialing-related performance monitoring, and medical staff compliance requirements.

In a typical day, you may:

• Coordinate and oversee provider performance monitoring activities for credentialed providers with active clinical privileges

• Support FPPE and OPPE processes to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards

• Collaborate with physician leaders, department chairs, and administrative stakeholders on provider quality and performance initiatives

• Conduct audits, reviews, and reporting activities that support regulatory readiness

• Monitor specialty-specific metrics and performance indicators

• Assist with medical staff governance activities and compliance documentation

• Partner with the Credentialing Verification Office to support provider onboarding and privileging processes

• Analyze data trends and identify opportunities for operational improvement

• Ensure accurate records and documentation are maintained in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements
