Job Title: Senior Data Analyst - Credit Decisioning (Python / Banking) Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst with strong Python expertise and banking domain knowledge to support credit decisioning and marketing initiatives. This role bridges business and technical teams, translating complex requirements into actionable solutions that improve decision logic and customer targeting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze non-IT business problems and identify process improvement opportunities
  • Translate stakeholder needs into clear, actionable requirements and technical specifications
  • Maintain and enhance credit card decisioning logic through ticket-based workflows
  • Implement and validate rules within Credit Karma's interface
  • Develop ROI frameworks and business cases to evaluate proposed investments
  • Document current and future state processes and ensure alignment across stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy and optimize decision strategies
Day in the Life
  • Manage incoming requests to update credit card and loan decisioning logic
  • Work closely with stakeholders to refine requirements and implement solutions
  • Write and validate Python-based rules and data transformations
  • Support onboarding and knowledge transfer for Credit Karma rule logic
Qualifications
  • Strong Python development (pandas, NumPy, DataFrames)
  • Experience with SQL (preferred)
  • Knowledge of U.S. banking products, especially credit cards and credit reporting
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and automation workflows
  • Experience in ticket-based environments (Jira, ServiceNow)
  • Exposure to Experian PowerCurve or similar decisioning tools (plus)
