Job Description

The Senior Accountant will perform a variety of accounting functions supporting the Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, Controller, and the Accounting Department as a whole. These duties require a considerable level of professional judgment and analytical ability. This position will may work from the Bellevue, WA, Vancouver, WA, or Boise, ID offices.

Salary ranges from $75,000 - $90,000 depending on experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Prepare, review, and aid in research of various taxes including alcohol taxes, excise taxes, property taxes, B&O taxes, sales and use taxes across several states.
  • Assist with annual audit and tax returns. Oversee and review preliminary work prepared by the staff accountant.
  • Work with and guide staff accountant through preparing monthly bank reconciliations and financial reports for partnership entities
  • Prepare selected journal entries and reconcile selected general ledger accounts. Make judgments about the adequacy of month-end accruals for certain expenses and record journal entries accordingly.
  • Perform various duties associated with the month-end closing process and other duties as assigned.
  • Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
  • Improve and document accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and internal controls.



Job Requirements



  • BS or BA in Accounting or another related field strongly preferred.
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must be detail oriented, with problem solving ability, and strong organization skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.), 10 key, and other accounting software.
