Overview

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for a Business Systems Operations Section Supervisor, supporting TOS II, at Arnold Air Force Base in Arnold, TN. The Business Systems Operations Section Supervisor will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible supporting the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.

Open to internal candidates only. The selected candidate for this requisition may be required to occasionally (e.g., application upgrades) work outside normal business hours.

Job Summary

The Business Systems Operations Section Supervisor will lead all business systems analytics, overseeing process improvement initiatives, system migrations, and serving as a key liaison between internal and external teams. This role is responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, implementing agile methodologies, and ensuring the on-time delivery of high-quality solutions that meet stakeholder needs.

Job Duties:

    Supervise and mentor a team of System Admins, Support Analysts, Application Admins, and Database Admins, fostering a culture of teamwork, technical excellence, and professional growth.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the mid-tier infrastructure, including server, network, database, and application support, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Establish and enforce standard IT operating procedures for infrastructure management, user and application support, and system administration to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Lead strategic initiatives related to system migrations, infrastructure upgrades, and the implementation of new technologies to enhance operational efficiency and capabilities.
  • Develop and manage a centralized service desk function to provide timely and effective user and application support, implementing ticketing and remote management tools to track and resolve issues.
  • Oversee the administration of Microsoft 365, Azure, Microsoft Server, and other critical business applications, ensuring proper configuration, security, and maintenance.
  • Partner with vendors to manage procurement, service level agreements (SLAs), and consolidated billing for infrastructure and software services.
  • Develop and implement IT documentation standards for system configurations, processes, and support procedures.
  • Ensure all mid-tier infrastructure and business systems maintain compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies, including Risk Management Framework (RMF), System Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), and Zero Trust Architecture principles.
  • It is a condition of employment to wear company issued PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in computer science or related field
  • 10 years of progressive and relevant experience in IT operations, infrastructure, or systems management
  • 15 years of progressive and relevant experience in IT operations, infrastructure, or systems management-including significant executive or technical leadership experience-in lieu of a degree.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a minimum of secret security clearance and access to the AEDC local area network.
  • Obtain and maintain a Security+ certification.
  • Current US Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in a technical lead, supervisory, or executive leadership capacity, demonstrating long-term stability and success in guiding multi-disciplinary IT operations and infrastructure teams (including SysAdmins, DBAs, and Support Analysts).
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale enterprise system migrations (such as PLM systems like Enovia, database environments, or cloud transitions) and establishing new operational processes from the ground up.
  • Demonstrated longevity in establishing and scaling IT service operations, including implementing ITSM/ITIL best practices, remote monitoring and management (RMM) platforms, and service desk structures.
  • Extensive hands-on and architectural experience with Microsoft enterprise environments, including Azure (IaaS, AVD), Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Windows Server infrastructure.
  • Experienced in strategic vendor negotiation, consolidated software billing, and managing procurement/service level agreements (SLAs) for enterprise-wide resources.
  • Strong strategic planning, critical thinking, and communication skills, with a history of successfully bridging technical delivery teams with senior leadership.
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance.
  • 5+ years Cloud Services (AWS/M365) experience
