About the Role:
The Sr. HR Business Partner (Sr. HRBP) works with department managers and supervisors to ensure the HR processes support employees and the organization's goals throughout the employee life cycle. While this role's primary focus is Talent Acquisition, the SRHBP is expected to assist with various other HR functions as needed.
Key Responsibilities: Strategic HR Partnership:
- Partners with business leaders to align HR strategies with organizational goals and drive business outcomes.
- Provides consultative guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management initiatives.
Talent Acquisition:
- Partners with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and develop effective recruiting strategies.
- Partners with managers to ensure effective onboarding and integration plans that accelerate new hire productivity and engagement.
- Manages full-cycle recruitment process including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer negotiation.
- Ensures a positive candidate experience through timely communication and professional interactions.
- Utilizes a variety of sourcing methods including applicant tracking systems, job boards, social media, networking, and employee referrals.
- Collaborates with leadership to create job descriptions and maintain accurate, up-to-date role requirements.
- Coordinates and participates in interviews, providing guidance to hiring managers on selection best practices.
- Monitors recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, quality of hire) and identifies opportunities for process improvement.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable employment laws and company policies throughout the hiring process.
- Supports onboarding activities to ensure a smooth transition for new hires and alignment with organizational culture.
- Assists in employer branding initiatives to attract top talent and strengthen the organization's market presence.
HR Policy and Compliance:
- Develops and implements HR policies and procedures to support business operations and goals.
- Leads HR audits, oversees compliance and manages employee records
- Creates policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process documents. Updates current procedures and documentation.
- Communicates federal, state, local, and organizational regulations and policies to managers and employees.
- Prepares and processes compliance reports, including but not limit to EEO-1, California Pay Data, Vets, and annual workers compensation audits.
Performance Management:
- Assists with administering the performance appraisal process.
- Supports managers and employees with performance-related matters.
- Coaches Supervisors and Managers with the creation of learning and development plans, disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and growth plans for their teams.
HR Reporting and Metrics:
- Prepares HR reports and metrics for management review.
- Analyzes data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Prepares a variety of headcount, benefit utilization, compliance, and ad hoc reports by effectively collecting, analyzing and summarizing data.
Employee Relations:
- Conducts or leads workplace investigations, ensuring timely resolution and compliance with company policies and employment laws.
- Assists in resolving employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances.
- Promotes a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Maintains employee records and ensures data accuracy.
Culture and Employee Engagement:
- Acts as a culture champion, actively promoting and embodying the organization's values and fostering a positive work environment.
- Supports the design and execution of special projects and programs to address specific organizational needs and enhance overall performance and engagement.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field and 7+ years progressive experience in an HR related role, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and California employment laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office applications, with an emphasis on Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Ability to clearly communicate complicated topics and policies to diverse audiences with a focus on application and behavior.
- Ability to take on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy and enthusiasm.
- Knowledge and utilization of the most effective and efficient processes to complete tasks with a focus on ongoing improvement.

- Knowledge of cGMP regulations ISO 13485, 21CFR Part 820, CMDR SOR/98-282, 93/42/EEC, RDC 16 2013, MHLW MO 169 and TG(MD)R Sch3 preferred.
