Job Summary

Join our premier Interventional Cardiovascular Catheterization Lab, where innovation, excellence, and compassionate care come together to deliver exceptional patient outcomes. Our state-of-the-art facility performs more than 6,500 coronary, structural heart, and peripheral vascular procedures annually and features six advanced angiographic procedure rooms along with a twelve-bay prep and recovery area. As a Registered Nurse on our team, you will play a vital role in every stage of the patient experience, providing expert care from admission and procedural preparation through recovery and discharge. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, you will perform comprehensive patient assessments, circulate during procedures, and monitor patients throughout recovery to ensure safe, high-quality care. The ideal candidate is a flexible, compassionate clinician with strong cardiovascular expertise, advanced arrhythmia interpretation skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, technologically advanced environment where professionalism, critical thinking, and clinical excellence are highly valued and rewarded.

Summary
Accountable for interpreting the plan of medical care, assessment of patients' clinical decision-making regarding nursing care, assuring nursing care is provided in a safe and competent manner, providing individualized nursing care, and evaluating nursing care for groups of patients.

Essential Functions
*Maintain accurate, detailed reports, and records.
*Administer medications to patients and monitor patients for reactions or side effects.
*Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
*Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
*Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
*Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • BSN strongly preferred
  • Strong clinical background in cardiology preferred and 2-3 years Cath Lab or CCU/ICU experience
  • Ability to work four ten hour or three twelve hour shifts and take after hour and weekend call as assigned.
  • The expected call response time is 30 minutes for our four person call team. The average call assignment is two to three weeknights each month, one to two holidays and six weekends annually.

    • Associate's Degree Nursing required or Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Familiarity with the principles and skills needed for practical nursing to provide patient care and treatment.
    • Knowledgeable of the care required by respective age groups for which care is being provided.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information.
    • Knowledge of medical terminology.
    • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
    • Ability to accurately screen and triage acute patients.
