Location: San Diego, CA

Salary: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year

Day Shift

Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related business field preferred
  • 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience in an Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant, or similar role
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, general ledger management, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Experience managing P&L performance, variance analysis, and operational financial metrics
  • Background in route distribution, consumer packaged goods (CPG), retail, logistics, or similar inventory-driven environments preferred
  • Experience with inventory management, cash controls, revenue reconciliation, and cost accounting
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex data analysis
  • Experience using ERP systems such as SAP or similar enterprise software
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to partner effectively with operations and leadership teams
  • High attention to detail and commitment to financial accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment


Job Duties:



  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes while ensuring general ledger accuracy
  • Prepare financial statements, reports, and analyses to support branch leadership decision-making
  • Own branch profit and loss (P&L) performance, including forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
  • Develop weekly and monthly operating forecasts to identify financial risks and opportunities
  • Oversee high-volume revenue reconciliation, ensuring cash collections, coin room activity, and POS transactions are accurately recorded
  • Monitor route performance metrics and verify that financial data aligns with operational activity
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to ensure inventory accuracy and accountability
  • Track product shrinkage, spoilage, and cost of goods sold (COGS) to protect profitability
  • Partner with branch leadership to improve operational efficiency and asset utilization
  • Provide real-time financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions
  • Support annual budget development and ongoing financial planning initiatives
  • Maintain strong internal controls and compliance with company financial policies and procedures
