Responsibilities
LEAD THERAPIST - FULL TIME The Lead Therapist performs all duties in line with therapist role plus additional leadership responsibilities. Lead holds full caseload typically from core unit and will work with patients providing individual, family therapy, and group therapy. Therapist will communicate with collateral contacts, schools and outpatient providers and engage in case management responsibilities. In addition to this full time role, as Lead therapist provides leadership on unit collaborating with Clinical leadership on projects and unit enhancement, collaborating with nurse manager and staff on milieu management and is the main liason between nursing and clinical. Therapist also attends additional leadership meetings, meets with clinical lead weekly to discuss special projects, and attends 2-3 shift changes a week to increase communication, collaboration and reinforce initiatives with direct care staff. Qualifications EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: Masters in Counseling, Social Work, or Psychology required.A minimum of two (2) years experience in a behavioral health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention and treatment skills is preferred; must have strong clinical assessment skills, with majority of experience focused on the child/adolescent population. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: LCPC or LCSW REQUIRED. Primary Source Verification shall be required through Illinois Department of Professional Regulations SKILLS: Strong communication and leadership skills. Trained in psychotherapy techniques providing therapy, training in evidenced based models including CBT, DBT etc preferred.
