Low Voltage Technician We're looking for motivated, hands-on technicians who want to build their career in the low voltage and network infrastructure space. About the Role You'll support ongoing WiFi and structured cabling projects across commercial environments, with a strong focus on healthcare and education facilities. This is a highly active, field-based role where you'll be installing, upgrading, and maintaining critical network infrastructure. What You'll Be Doing * Install and mount wireless access points (WAPs) for new system deployments * Support network upgrades by replacing legacy equipment with minimal disruption * Run, route, and terminate Cat5/Cat6 cabling * Perform punch-downs, patching, and cable management * Assist with new construction and retrofit projects * Work with structured cabling systems in real-world environments What Makes This Opportunity Stand Out * Consistent project work with a strong pipeline in the Charleston area * Exposure to large-scale WiFi deployments and hospital projects * Opportunity to build well-rounded experience across cabling, wireless, and infrastructure * Work alongside experienced technicians on high-impact jobs * Clear path to grow your technical skillset in a high-demand industry Work Environment * Primarily local work in the Charleston area * Occasional regional project exposure for those open to it * Mix of commercial construction and operational facilities What We're Looking For * 1+ year of experience in low voltage, structured cabling, or related field * Experience with: * Cat5/Cat6 installations * Cable termination and punch-downs * Wireless access points or network hardware * Comfortable working hands-on in active job site environments * Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship * Reliable and team-oriented mindset Preferred Knowledge (Nice to Have) * Familiarity with low voltage standards and best practices * Basic understanding of network components (MAC addresses, link lights, etc.) * Experience working in commercial or healthcare environments Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Hanahan, SC. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
