*Job Overview:*
The Gift Wrap Supervisor is responsible for leading the daily operations of the Gift Wrap function while delivering an elevated and seamless customer experience aligned with the Bloomingdale's brand. This role oversees workflow execution, colleague productivity, service standards, and operational readiness to ensure timely, high-quality gift-wrapping services during both peak and non-peak periods.
The Supervisor partners closely with Store Leadership, Sales Professionals, Operations, and Support teams to maintain efficiency, presentation standards, and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced retail environment.
*Essential Functions:*
* Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Gift Wrap area, ensuring service, productivity, and presentation standards are consistently upheld.
* Assist in the development of Gift Wrap colleagues through active observation, feedback and in-the-moment training.
* Monitor customer volume, queue times, and workload distribution to ensure timely service during high-volume periods and events.
* Ensure all wrapped packages meet Bloomingdale's quality and brand presentation standards.
* Resolve customer concerns and escalations professionally while delivering a luxury-level experience.
* Partner with Store Leadership and Sales teams to support selling events, peak business periods, and special promotions.
* Maintain inventory levels of wrapping paper, ribbons, boxes, supplies, and operational materials.
* Ensure the Gift Wrap area remains organized, clean, safe, and customer-ready at all times.
* Provide feedback based on business trends and seasonal demand to assist with staffing plans, scheduling, and deployment of strategies.
* Support onboarding and training of new colleagues to ensure consistency in execution and service expectations.
* Reinforce operational compliance, safety procedures, and company policies.
* Lead by example through strong work ethic, urgency, professionalism, and customer engagement.
*Qualifications:*
* Previous retail leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
* Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
* Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to prioritize workload and make real-time business decisions.
* Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
* Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move operational supplies as needed.
