Job Description

Nidec is seeking a highly organized and experienced Regional Sales Administrator to support our sales organization and serve as a critical liaison between customers, Regional Sales Managers, Applications Engineers, Product Management, manufacturing facilities, and global teams.

This role is ideal for a professional with experience supporting complex manufacturing, industrial, automotive, supply chain, or global operations environments. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced setting, possess strong ERP system knowledge, and have experience coordinating customer requirements, forecasts, orders, and international logistics activities across multiple stakeholders.

This is not an entry-level position. We are seeking an individual capable of operating independently, navigating complex customer and operational challenges, and contributing with minimal ramp-up time.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with Regional Sales Managers, Product Managers, and Applications Engineers to support customer growth initiatives and achieve business objectives.
  • Manage customer orders, forecasts, backlog, and demand planning activities.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing facilities, logistics providers, and global teams to ensure timely fulfillment and delivery of customer requirements.
  • Monitor and track domestic and international shipments, proactively identifying and resolving delivery issues.
  • Verify and manage shipping documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, and export-related documentation as required.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for customers regarding order status, delivery schedules, shipment tracking, and issue resolution.
  • Investigate and resolve customer inquiries, order discrepancies, and operational challenges in a timely manner.
  • Support customer account setup and maintenance activities within SAP, Salesforce, and other business systems.
  • Monitor open orders, backlog, and overdue invoices while partnering with internal stakeholders to drive resolution.
  • Prepare and analyze sales, forecast, and operational reports to support business decision-making.
  • Collaborate closely with domestic and offshore teams to ensure alignment across customer, operational, and commercial priorities.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting sales, customer operations, order management, supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, or similar business functions.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, automotive, electronics, engineering, or similarly complex operating environment.
  • Strong SAP, ERP, or enterprise business systems experience.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across cross-functional and global organizations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting international customers and overseas shipments.
  • Experience working within high-volume global operations environments.
  • Salesforce experience.
  • Knowledge of demand planning, forecasting, inventory management, or supply chain processes.
  • Experience collaborating with offshore teams and global stakeholders.
  • Japanese language skills are a plus.
