*Job Title: Bank Teller*
*Job Description*The Bank Teller provides members and prospective members with a full range of financial products and services, including depository accounts such as checking, savings, certificate and IRA accounts, as well as revocable trust and estate accounts, lending products, and credit and debit cards. This role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, accurately handling financial transactions, and supporting members with their day-to-day banking needs in a professional branch environment. *Responsibilities* * Provide members and prospective members with information on the full range of banking products and services, including checking, savings, certificate, IRA, revocable trust, and estate accounts. * Support members with lending products and services, as well as credit and debit card offerings. * Handle cash transactions accurately, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and account inquiries. * Deliver high-quality, customer-facing service by engaging confidently with members and building positive relationships. * Assist with account management activities, including opening, maintaining, and updating member accounts and related documentation. * Perform administrative tasks to support branch operations, including data entry and record keeping. * Use Microsoft Office and banking systems to process transactions and maintain accurate member information. * Identify member needs and, when appropriate, recommend alternative products or services by thinking creatively and offering solutions. * Work effectively in a retail banking environment with regular member interaction and occasional rejection, maintaining professionalism and resilience. * Contribute to a positive, service-oriented team environment and support colleagues as needed during busy branch hours. *Essential Skills* * Proven customer service experience in a customer-facing or member service role. * Strong cash handling skills with attention to detail and accuracy. * Confident communication skills and the ability to engage comfortably with a variety of people. * Ability to think creatively and provide alternative solutions when assisting members. * Comfort working in a sales-oriented, retail banking or financial services environment. * Basic knowledge of banking or prior financial services experience. * Proficiency with data entry and basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office. * Administrative skills to support account management and branch operations. * Resilience and comfort with occasional rejection while maintaining a positive, service-oriented attitude. *Additional Skills & Qualifications* * Background in banking, finance, or a related customer service field. * Experience in retail sales or customer-facing roles where relationship building is important. * Demonstrated ability to be customer service oriented and solution focused. * Comfort working both independently and as part of a team in a branch setting. *Why Work Here?*Join a stable, well-established financial institution recognized among leading companies, offering strong job security and a history of avoiding layoffs. The schedule runs Monday through Saturday, with one day off during the week when working Saturdays. The role operates in a professional banking setting that uses standard office and banking technologies, including computers, data entry systems, and Microsoft Office. The environment is customer-facing, fast paced at times, and focused on delivering professional, courteous service to members throughout the day. *Job Type & Location* This is a Contract position based out of Apex, NC. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $21.42 - $21.42/hr.
