*Job Title: Bank Teller*
*Job Description*The Bank Teller provides members and prospective members with a full range of banking products and services, including depository accounts such as checking, savings, certificates, IRA, revocable trust, and estate accounts, as well as lending products and credit and debit cards. This role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, handling financial transactions accurately, and supporting members with their everyday banking needs in a professional branch environment. *Responsibilities* * Provide members and prospective members with information about the full range of banking products and services, including checking, savings, certificate, IRA, revocable trust, and estate accounts. * Assist members with lending products and services, including providing information on available options and processing related transactions within established guidelines. * Support members with credit and debit card services, including basic inquiries, problem resolution, and account updates. * Deliver high-quality, customer-facing service by greeting members, listening to their needs, and offering appropriate solutions and alternatives. * Perform accurate cash handling activities, including receiving, counting, and disbursing cash while maintaining proper controls and balancing at the end of each shift. * Handle routine banking transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, payments, and transfers efficiently and with attention to detail. * Maintain accurate member and account information through careful data entry and administrative tasks in banking systems and Microsoft Office tools. * Engage in sales and cross-selling by identifying member needs and recommending relevant banking products and services. * Demonstrate resilience and confidence by handling rejection professionally when members decline products or services, and continue to provide excellent service. * Think creatively and provide alternative solutions when assisting members, ensuring their needs are met within available products and policies. * Support general branch operations through administrative tasks, documentation, and coordination with team members as needed. * Uphold all banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements while maintaining confidentiality and security of member information. *Essential Skills* * Proven customer service experience in a customer-facing or member service role. * Strong cash handling skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail. * Ability to communicate confidently and clearly with members and colleagues. * Comfort engaging with people in person and not being afraid to talk to new or existing members. * Capability to think outside the box and provide alternative solutions to meet member needs. * Resilience and comfort with occasional rejection when offering products or services. * Some knowledge of banking or prior financial services experience. * Experience with administrative tasks and data entry in a professional setting. * Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. * Customer service orientation with a focus on building positive member relationships. * Ability to work effectively as part of a customer service team in a retail or banking environment. *Additional Skills & Qualifications* * Background in banking, finance, or retail sales is beneficial. * Experience in account management or administrative support roles is an advantage. * Previous exposure to banking systems or financial products is helpful. * Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. * Comfort working in a structured, process-driven environment while maintaining a positive attitude. *Why Work Here?*You will join a stable, well-established financial institution recognized among leading organizations, offering strong job security with a history of no company-wide layoffs. You will spend time both standing and sitting, depending on business needs and member foot traffic. The schedule runs Monday through Saturday, with one day off during the week when working Saturdays. The branch operates in a professional office setting that uses standard banking systems and Microsoft Office tools, and follows a professional dress code appropriate for a member-facing financial services environment. *Job Type & Location* This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Swansboro, NC. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
