*Job Title: Floating Teller*
*Job Description*The Floating Teller provides members and prospective members with a full range of financial products and services, including depository accounts, lending products, and credit and debit cards. This role performs moderately complex platform banking functions under supervision, delivers high-quality customer service in person and by phone, and supports and trains lower-level team members to ensure consistent and efficient branch operations. *Responsibilities* * Provide members and prospective members with information and support for a full range of financial products and services, including checking, savings, certificate, IRA, revocable trust, estate accounts, lending products, and credit/debit cards. * Analyze, research, and resolve problems and discrepancies related to member accounts and loans in a timely and accurate manner. * Assist members with submitting consumer, mortgage, equity loan, overdraft protection, and credit card applications, ensuring all required information is complete and accurate. * Counsel current and prospective members on available financial products and services, helping them select options that best meet their needs. * Ensure proper handling of cash and other negotiable instruments in accordance with established procedures and controls. * Identify opportunities to cross-sell and cross-service products to increase product penetration and deepen member relationships. * Perform platform banking functions, including account opening, maintenance, and related transactional activities. * Assist Level I team members by providing guidance, support, and on-the-job training as needed. * Understand and comply with federal and other regulations related to financial products and services, maintaining adherence to all applicable policies and procedures. * Assist with Branch Office vault opening, closing, and balancing procedures when needed. * Serve as a Branch Office and/or ATM vault custodian as assigned, ensuring security and accuracy. * Escort members to and from the branch as required, providing courteous and professional service. * Perform other duties as assigned to support overall branch operations and member satisfaction. *Essential Skills* * Proven customer service experience in a member- or customer-facing environment. * Experience in banking, finance, or a related financial services setting. * Ability to analyze, research, and resolve account and loan discrepancies accurately. * Proficiency in data entry with strong attention to detail and accuracy. * Strong verbal communication skills for counseling members on products and services. * Ability to handle cash and negotiable instruments responsibly and in line with procedures. * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. * Ability to understand and comply with federal and other regulations related to financial products and services. * Capability to support and assist lower-level team members in daily tasks. *Additional Skills & Qualifications* * Experience in an inbound call center or high-volume customer service environment. * Background in platform banking functions such as account opening and maintenance. * Comfort with cross-selling and identifying opportunities to expand member product usage. * Experience working with vault procedures or as a vault custodian in a branch environment. * Ability to work flexibly as a floating resource, supporting multiple locations or functions as needed. *Why Work Here?*You will join a service-focused financial institution that values member relationships and emphasizes professionalism, accuracy, and integrity in every interaction. The position may require escorting members to and from the branch, including brief outdoor activity. Work is performed in a professional office setting with established procedures for vault opening, closing, and balancing, as well as ATM and branch security. The schedule typically follows standard branch operating hours, and you may be asked to support different locations or functions as a floating resource. *Job Type & Location* This is a Contract position based out of Houston, TX. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $21.82 - $21.82/hr.
