What you'll be doing...

This position is responsible for the end-to end program management and execution of integrations (Acquisitions) and separations (Divestitures) on behalf of Verizon. This includes, leading functional multi-disciplinary business unit teams responsible for the overall deliverables of the project.

The Associate Director will be responsible for leading a particular project that begins with participating in due diligence and continuing until either full integration or full separation.

This role will take the lead in defining program deliverables, working with the functional teams to design their respective program plans and identifying and executing deal and business case value capture initiatives. This role frequently participates in executive briefing sessions on program progress.

  • Leading the Integration (or Divestiture/Separation) Management Office and associated program deliverables on assigned projects.

  • Overseeing individual threads / functions, plans, and the overall integration plan for development, deployment and execution.

  • Proactively identify and manage the risk profile of each assigned work thread, with particular focus on synergy risks as well as cross functional risks due to thread dependency.

  • Analyze the individual functional team/SME integration (or separation) plans to ensure that the program is leveraging each resource group appropriately.

  • Leading cross functional teams to ensure work streams are properly resourced based on level of effort.

  • Supporting resource assignment, time tracking, and other initiatives that are involved in the management of the overall functional project plans.

  • Articulate weekly and present the direction for program work streams with regard to process, deliverables and timelines.

  • Leading the collection, reporting and presentation of multiple data elements to forecast the progress of the program, while identifying critical risks and issues to Senior Management; This will include supporting the creation of executive reporting on a weekly and monthly basis.

  • Acting as an escalation point to Senior IMO Leadership and Executive Management on critical issue, risk and dependency decision points; Actively manage these elements on an ongoing basis.

  • Leveraging a broad knowledge of standard Program Management Office practices and serve as a subject matter resource to support enhancements to the program.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Eight or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

  • Two + years of experience in managing and/or leading the actual execution of a M&A integration (or disposition) with evidence of a management role in post signing activities and actions

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Three + years of telecom or technology experience.

  • Four + years of relevant project management work experience

  • PMP Certification

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours. The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $152,500.00 - $265,000.00. The annual salary range for the New York location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $152,500.00 - $265,000.00.
