This is a fully remote position. The candidate must reside in California, Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Nevada, Utah, or Colorado* POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Sr. Director, the Director is responsible for securing and growing major and planned gifts in support of the ALS Association's strategic priorities and mission. The Director will build philanthropic partnerships with individuals and foundations to secure planned gifts and outright gifts at the $5,000 - $25,000 level through an active portfolio of 125-150 supporters. Utilizing relationship management strategies, this position will identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward supporters to growing revenue and build a pipeline of major and planned gift donors for sustainable revenue. Additionally, this position works as a partner to other Development staff to secure major and planned gifts from donors in their portfolios. This includes assisting these partners with strategy development, cultivation and stewardship planning and execution, and providing support in all aspects of the execution of those strategies in order to solicit and secure support. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic professional with strong relationship management and communication skills, committed to fundraising for positive change. PAY TRANSPARENCY: The ALS Association's pay range for this position is$115,000 - $123,498 annually. The ALS Association has compensation ranges for various work locations throughout the United States, allowing us to compensate employees competitively and consistently in diverse geographic markets. The above-listed listed range shows prospective compensation for this role; the appropriate range will be established by what is eventually determined to be the candidate's primary work location. Various factors, including the complexity and significance of the role, job duties/requirements, relevant experience and abilities, and primary work location, determine individual compensation. Compensation ranges are evaluated and typically adjusted on a regular basis. Offers are made within the compensation range that is in effect at the time of the job offer. The Association may, at its discretion, offer merit-based increases tied to individual performance. The benefits listed may differ depending on employment status with the Association.
