Engineer - Materials (marine metallic alloys)
Overview D342 is seeking a seasoned Materials Engineer specializing in marine metallic alloys to contribute to both the Materials Engineering and Base Materials Technology groups within D342 Materials Engineering and Laboratory Services. The successful candidate will serve as a mentor to both groups, contribute to the development of metallic additive manufacturing material-process combinations, may serve as lead in complex metallic-material based issues, address metallic material non-conformances, help develop future concepts, review test results, and serve as a senior technical reviewer amongst any other needs of the two groups. Extensive experience with alloys commonly used in submarine design and construction is necessary. Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's of Science in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
