Primary Duties:

  • Provides direct PT evaluations and re-evaluations, including assessment of prior and current level of functioning, settingappropriate goalsand makingappropriate dischargerecommendationsin accordance withstandards of practice.Providesdirect PT treatments according to standards of practice, including patient and family education, progression of treatment plan and implementation ofappropriate therapeuticinterventions

  • Utilizesappropriate documentationforms and abides by PM&R's documentation standards.Collaborates with physicians and other members of health care teams relative to patient treatment and progress and other affiliated agencies regarding effective discharge planning.

  • Coordinates and prioritizes own schedule in relation to demands of patient treatment and other departmental responsibilities.

  • Demonstrates proper use and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.

  • Maintains CEUs (Continuing Education Unit) per state requirement for continued professional competency. Adheres to all Department of Health and Joint Commission regulations with regards to the physical environment and patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree inphysicaltherapy.

  • 1-2 yearsrelated clinical practice experience in an acute care or rehabilitation facility.

  • APTA - Physical Therapy CurrentD.C (District of Columbia). license or qualified candidate forDClicense.

  • BLS (Basic Life Support).
