Position Summary

Under general supervision, oversees the development, implementation, and administration of programs and activities designed to assist in the retention of University graduate and undergraduate students, and to encourage the development of the general well-being of students within the university's co-curricular environment.

Oversees, coordinates and advises a broad range of student engagement activities, including student government, campus-wide events, programming boards, and related student programs. Advises ASUNM Southwest Film Center (Independent/Student Movies), ASUNM Crafts Studio, ASUNM Community Experience, and other agencies.

Coordinates campus-wide programs including Mid Week Movies (Hollywood Blockbusters), Craft Fair, Fall Frenzy, Cherry Reel Film Festival, Spring Storm, Community Service Projects, and more. Assists with the execution of additional institutional events such as Friday Night Live, Welcome Back Days, Fiestas, Red Rally, Silent Lights, Lobo Day, Lobo's Got Talent, Homecoming, Graduation Flower Sales, Hanging of the Greens, and themed programming events.

Oversees two to three student employees working at the movie theater. This position requires availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Conditions of Employment

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.



Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Higher Education Administration or similar field.
  • Experience advising college entertainment programming boards/committees.
  • Experience advising college student government committees.
  • Experience supervising staff/student staff.
  • Experience developing and executing college campus-wide programs.
