Procurement Manager New York, NY Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour 26-05548 Job Summary The Procurement Manageris responsible for supporting procurement and contract administration activities through the preparation, coordination, tracking, and management of procurement-related documentation and processes. This role works closely with internal stakeholders to facilitate the solicitation, evaluation, award, and administration of professional services and consulting agreements. The Procurement Specialist supports procurement planning, contract documentation, funding verification, reporting, and compliance activities while ensuring procurement actions are completed accurately and within established timelines. The ideal candidate possesses strong procurement experience, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. Job Responsibilities
- Review, edit, and maintain scopes of work and procurement-related documentation.
- Prepare, write, and edit procurement staff summaries and supporting materials.
- Identify funding sources and verify funding availability for task orders, work orders, and procurement activities.
- Coordinate and solicit Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and other procurement solicitations.
- Draft task order agreements, memorandums, and procurement-related contract documents.
- Support procurement planning and contract administration activities throughout the procurement lifecycle.
- Serve as a liaison between internal departments and stakeholders to facilitate procurement activities and project coordination.
- Create, maintain, and update procurement schedules and milestone tracking reports.
- Track, monitor, and maintain procurement databases and task order records.
- Prepare consultant and vendor status reports and monitor contract progress.
- Assist with contract compliance, documentation management, and audit support activities.
- Support procurement reporting, data analysis, and administrative functions.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure documentation complies with established policies and procedures.
- Coordinate multiple procurement projects and priorities while meeting established deadlines.
- Perform additional procurement and administrative duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field and a minimum of one year of relevant professional experience in procurement, economics, finance, accounting, business administration, or public administration; OR
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of five years of relevant professional experience in procurement, economics, finance, accounting, business administration, or public administration.
- Minimum of five years of full-time procurement experience working with a large public-sector or private-sector organization preferred.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract administration, solicitation procedures, and procurement documentation.
- Experience preparing and reviewing scopes of work, RFPs, task orders, contracts, and procurement reports.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to analyze procurement information and maintain accurate records and reports.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders.
Education
- Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field and one year of qualifying professional experience; OR
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field and five years of qualifying professional experience.
Work Experience
- Minimum of five years of full-time procurement experience preferred.
- Experience working within large public-sector or private-sector organizations preferred.
- Experience administering procurement processes, contract documentation, task orders, and consultant agreements preferred.
- Experience preparing RFPs, procurement summaries, and procurement reports preferred.
- Experience supporting audits, compliance activities, and procurement record management preferred.
- Experience coordinating with multiple departments and stakeholders throughout the procurement lifecycle preferred.
