MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN- Euclid, Ohio Pay Rate: Starting at $30 - Depending on Experience Shift: Monday - Thursday 6AM-4:30PM 4x10s Overtime as needed As a Maintenance Tech at the Euclid plant, you will be a crucial part of our Electrical and Maintenance team, ensuring that a quality product is available to our customers when they need them. You will report to a Senior Maintenance Manager. Your work will directly affect people's lives! THE GENERAL DUTIES OF THIS POSITION INCLUDE
- Repair, modify and install equipment to maintain and operate the facility.
- Understands basic electrical and pneumatic diagrams, familiar with 12 VDC to 480 VAC electrical wiring or circuits and capable of diagnosing 24/115 VAC control circuitry.
- Work in confined spaces, on elevated platforms, ladders, scaffolding and roofs.
- Perform all tasks associated with troubleshooting equipment.
- CMMS experience.
- Perform all tasks associated with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Accurately maintains records and reports as required.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- This position requires a strong electrical mechanical aptitude.
- Prior experience in manufacturing and plant maintenance is required.
- Prior experience as a maintenance mechanic or qualified journeyman in an industrial manufacturing or similar work setting is required for consideration.
- Thorough knowledge of Industrial production and utility equipment operation is preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS
- The successful candidate will be required to perform in a multi-craft environment
- Have at least five years of applicable industrial mechanical, positive displacement pumps, mag drive pumps, air compressors, dryers, chillers, HVAC, mixers, filling line equipment, wrappers, tanks, motors, diaphragms pumps, building maintenance or related experience.
- Secondary skill is desired as follow - PLC and welding.
The successful candidate must:
- Have good attendance and safety records
- Be able to work well in a team
- Read and follow Work Order instructions
- Possess the ability to troubleshoot and repair various plant production and utility equipment (VFd's, motors, pumps, etc.)
- Read and understand prints and CAD drawings
- Read and understand equipment technical manuals
- Possess computer skills
- Have completed a forklift driver's training program
- Be able to work in an environment where respiratory protective equipment is required
- Operate various Plant production and utility equipment and associated process control equipment
- Be able to work in elevated areas or confined spaces
- Be flexible with overtime availability
- Accept extended and/or weekend schedules if needed
- Perform all tasks associated with troubleshooting equipment
- Perform all tasks associated with preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Accurately maintains records and reports as required multidiscipline mechanical, electrical, HVAC skills and the ability to learn at an accelerated place
- Experience with personal computers and common business software packages
- Effective communication, observation, planning, writing, reading, basic math, problem solving, and prioritizing skills
- Ability to operate a variety of power equipment and material handling devices typically found in an industrial maintenance shop
- Understand and utilize technical manuals, blueprints and sketches to accomplish assigned tasks
- Possess and maintain a valid Ohio driver's license. Must possess forklift operation certificate or have the ability to operate one
- Capability to function in a team oriented environment where tasks and work load are shared/rotated among all associates in the maintenance function with a minimum of supervision
- Must be self-motivated and able to work without close supervision
- Will be required to be on call for emergencies
