| Essential Job Duties |
The intern will serve as a junior content creator for the NC State College of Agriculture and Life Sciences social media accounts, focusing on creating engaging, social media-forward content promoting strategic excellence and wellbeing within the college. As an expert in the NC State
CALS student voice, the intern will reflect the student experience and appear on camera for various pieces of content. The intern will ideate, create and edit social media content related to student, faculty and staff excellence and wellness initiatives, as well as appeal to prospective students with student experience content. Ideal candidates are passionate about NC State
CALS, are social media savvy and eager to share their student experience. The social media intern will not be managing or responsible for posting to the @NCStateCALS social media accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creative strategizing and social media content ideation
- Creating social media content for @NCStateCALS
- Vertical video content creation
- Ideating, storyboarding and brainstorming
- Video filming
- Video production and editing
- Creation of Instagram-specific content (photo, graphic and video)
- Creation of LinkedIn-specific content (photo, graphic and video)
- Capturing live photos/videos at events
- Managing multiple assignments and meeting deadlines
- Participating in training and meetings as part of the intern curriculum
- Assistance with caption writing, social media posting strategy and community management
- Creation of a final social media content project
Schedule: Flexible, hybrid schedule of approx. 10 hrs/week. Hours generally fall between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., with some after-hours and weekend work. |
