The Recruiting and Onboarding Specialist is a strategic hiring partner responsible for leading full cycle recruitment for a range of roles across QED and CODALE. This position is responsible for ensuring a positive candidate experience from application to onboarding. Will provide expertise in sourcing, hiring manager support, market insights, an efficient and effective interview process, and post-offer activities leading to onboarding.

What you'll do:



  • Ensure a welcoming, transparent, and timely candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
  • Ensure timely submission of new hire paperwork to allow for a productive day 1 onboarding experience.
  • Proactively communicate with new hires to convey clear and thorough instruction for new hire onboarding.
  • Troubleshoot recruiting and onboarding system issues to address and resolve in a timely manner avoiding impact on onboarding timelines.
  • Process new job requisition requests, ensure approval, position code creation/validation in system and create requisitions.
  • Ensure job requisition position detail and formatting is complaint with federal, state and Sonepar guidelines.
  • Review position code attributes prior to processing new hire paperwork to verify position details are updated and accurate for associate onboarding.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to refine role requirements, review job descriptions, determine interview processes, and review candidate profiles.
  • Provide timely and regular recruiting updates to hiring managers; proactively address constraints and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Guide leaders on selection decisions and ensure consistency with company standards.
  • Optimize recruiting processes through use of technology, analytics, and workflow improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date data in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Ensure proper file retention in all facets on the recruitment lifecycle.
  • Manage the background screening process for all candidates and ensure smooth new hire onboarding experience for candidates.
  • Provide training and guidance to hiring managers on best practices for candidate selection and interviewing.
  • Support employer branding initiatives to strengthen the company's external reputation.
  • Build strong pipelines across critical roles and hard to fill positions.
  • Pre-screen candidates when requisition volume is high.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to HR staff as appropriate.
  • Support Safety and Transportation with required drug testing and compliance efforts.
  • Support associate questions as time and expertise allows.
  • Other duties as assigned.



What you'll bring:



  • Bachelor's degree (B.A or B.S.) from a 4-year college or University; or 3 - 5 years' of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience; experience supporting multiple business units preferred.
  • Proven success recruiting for professional, operations, and sales roles (industry-specific experience a plus).
  • Strong sourcing expertise with the ability to attract passive candidates.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with ATS systems, HRIS tools, and modern recruiting technologies.
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and sound judgment.
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills



Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

Compensation: $65,000 -$85,000
