Job Summary Junior Imaging Applications Analysts have primary responsibility for supporting Imaging technology in the Radiology, Cardiology, Neurology and other service lines. The analyst will coordinate and have primary responsibility for design, build, testing, validation and ongoing support of imaging and other applications in these areas. They are responsible for obtaining and maintaining in-depth knowledge of the software functionality, and acquiring knowledge of the departmental workflows to be implemented on the system. Jointly with each other and with department representatives, they design a future-state workflow and build the system to support the new workflow. The analyst will perform daily system evaluation of backups, interface error logs, printer queue management, hardware maintenance and monitor the quality of patient result output from a multitude of imaging systems to include but not be limited to Radiology Information Systems (RIS), Enterprise and Cardiology Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS), structured reporting systems, perinatal monitoring systems and any new technology as directed. They work with each other in workgroups, and across interdisciplinary workgroups to accomplish these goals as a team.
Maintains all break-fix and optimization documentation in the IT customer support system. Performs daily application support for clinical applications as assigned. Maintains application dictionaries and configuration for procedure codes, application security, etc. Performs reconciliation of all system errors and image exception reports. Maintains Epic interface error work-queues from downstream systems. Trains end users on clinical applications in Radiology, Cardiology, Neurology and other service lines. Ability to execute ad-hoc reports and distribute to stakeholders on request. Ability to create workflow, technical troubleshooting and end users tipsheet documentation. Performs application interface testing with Epic and other downstream systems. Participates in 24 x 7 on-calls support rotation.
What you need?
- Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field or equivalent education, training and/or experience.
- 1-2 years' experience providing analytical support of administrative and/or clinical applications.
- Prior experience with clinical application workflow, MS Windows and UNIX Operating System, PC hardware and network troubleshooting.
- Prior experience with system reconciliation process of patient orders and results .
