We are seeking an experienced Operations Technician at our Reidsville, NC facility.

The Operations Technician is primarily responsible for the safe, efficient, hands-on day-to-day control and monitoring of several processes involved in the operation of a cryogenic air separation plant. This includes the production of liquid and gaseous nitrogen, oxygen, and argon, as well as plant control, cryogenic tanker loading support, and product quality assurance.

In addition, the site operates a bulk hydrogen transfill system, where the role supports day-to-day operations involving the transfer of gaseous hydrogen from a liquid tanker to tube trailers.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day operation of the plant to support on-stream performance, production, and reliability targets.
  • Maintain plant operations and assist with mechanical repairs, instrument calibrations, and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Ensure error-free execution by maintaining a high level of attention to detail and performing all work to the highest standard. Apply a continuous improvement mindset to daily activities.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of both minor and major shutdowns, providing technical and hands-on support as needed.
  • Follow, update, and maintain operating procedures to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Oversee trailer loading operations and assist drivers as necessary.
  • Promote and adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
  • Provide support to other facilities in the area as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • A certificate in process technology or a maintenance-related field preferred, or a minimum of three years of experience in a manufacturing/production, processing, or chemical/petrochemical environment. Participants in SkillsUSA are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience with plant/refinery instrumentation and electrical systems is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical proficiency is desired.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to participate in a 24-hour on-call rotation.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Military experience is a plus. This position aligns with roles such as Machinist's Mate, Electrician's Mate, Damage Controlman, Engineman, Electronic Technician, and Gas Turbine Systems Technician.
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
  • This is a safety-sensitive position.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to climb ladders and stairs and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Will be exposed to high noise levels.
  • Ability to meet all call-in requirements as needed.
