Manufacture, assemble, and package products to meet customer demand while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards. The Production Associate role is structured in progressive levels, with increasing expectations for independence, technical skill, problem-solving, and operational contribution.

General Duties:

Maintain a clean and safe working environment while following all safety rules, standard work, and plant regulations to prevent injury or damage to materials and equipment.

Upon training and qualification, perform a variety of production-related tasks including:

  • Machine operation and support
  • Assembly and packaging of finished goods
  • Material handling and job flow execution
  • Crating and staging product for shipment
  • Inventory counting and basic documentation
  • Assisting team members and supporting production needs

Responsibilities increase with level, with higher-level associates taking on greater ownership, independence, and expectations for peer support.

Working Responsibilities: Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all company and OSHA safety policies and procedures
  • Use required PPE and maintain safe work practices at all times
  • Progress from following safety expectations to modeling and reinforcing them
Quality & Production
  • Assemble materials and package finished products to meet customer requirements
  • Perform visual inspections and ensure adherence to quality standards
  • Identify defects and take appropriate action based on training and level of responsibility
  • Progress from basic defect recognition to anticipating and preventing quality issues
Standard Work & Execution
  • Follow posted work instructions and standard operating procedures
  • Perform assigned tasks with increasing levels of independence:
Material Flow & Workstation Readiness
  • Move materials correctly through the production process
  • Maintain organized, efficient workstations
  • Ensure readiness of tools, materials, and equipment
  • Recommend improvements to workflow and efficiency at higher levels
Documentation & Systems
  • Accurately track production, time, and job data in required systems
  • Complete production documentation and check sheets
  • Progress to supporting and training others on systems and documentation accuracy
Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
  • Identify and escalate abnormal conditions
  • Troubleshoot issues within defined scope
  • Proactively identify root causes and implement improvements
Team Contribution
  • Work collaboratively with team members and leadership
  • Accept feedback and demonstrate continuous learning
  • At advanced levels, act as a resource and support the development of others
Education and Experience:
  • Prior manufacturing, assembly, or production experience preferred
  • Ability to learn equipment operation and production processes
  • Forklift certification may be required for certain roles
Work Environment:

Plant environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and manufacturing conditions. Proper PPE is required (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection, steel/composite toe footwear).

Physical Demands:
  • Frequent standing and walking throughout shift
  • Regular use of hands, arms, and coordination
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs frequently and up to 75 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, and reach as needed to perform tasks
