Role Overview This role supports both the Technology Investment Office (TIO) and the Vendor Management Office (VMO)-small, highly collaborative teams responsible for execution, financial oversight, and governance across the technology and vendor portfolio.
The position focuses on delivering financial and operational visibility into IT investments and vendor-related activities through structured analysis, reporting, and cross-functional coordination. Success requires strong ownership, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for leadership. Key Responsibilities Portfolio Financial & Investment Management * Track funding, spend, forecasts, variances, and remaining balances across assigned initiatives * Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, gaps, and opportunities * Translate findings into clear insights and actionable recommendations Reporting, Metrics & Dashboards * Develop and maintain performance metrics, KPIs, dashboards, and analytical reporting * Support leadership decision-making with accurate, timely, and well-structured outputs * Create executive-ready materials, including PowerPoint presentations and summary views Governance & Cross-Functional Coordination * Support governance processes and approval workflows across enterprise initiatives * Coordinate inputs, validate data, and prepare materials for review forums * Partner closely with IT, Finance, PMO, Supply Management, Regulatory, and business stakeholders Day-to-Day Collaboration * Operate in a highly matrixed environment with frequent cross-functional interaction * Independently drive work forward, follow up on dependencies, and ensure data accuracy Team Support Breakdown Technology Investment Office (TIO) * *Weekly:* Support governance process for business case approvals * *Monthly:* Report on capital results and forecasts; develop dashboards (Power BI exposure helpful) * *Quarterly:* Track budget performance and support adjustments * *Ad Hoc:* Analyze capital budgets and present insights to leadership Vendor Management Office (VMO) * Manage and analyze vendor investment funds * Track and report investment performance to executive leadership * Support governance processes and daily fund requests * Provide recurring reports and respond to ad hoc requests for metrics, KPIs, and contract analysis Required Skills & Qualifications Core Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, IT, or a related field preferred (relevant experience highly valued) * 2-8 years of professional experience with strong financial analysis and governance exposure * *Advanced Excel skills* required * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced, matrixed environment Top Three Qualities for Success * *Strong Financial Acumen & Analytical Ability* * Ability to interpret, question, and validate financial and operational inputs * Goes beyond reporting to provide insights and recommendations * *High Ownership in a Cross-Functional Environment* * Independently drives work across IT, Finance, PMO, Supply Management, and Regulatory teams * Effectively facilitates cross-functional conversations and resolves dependencies * *Clear, Structured Executive Communication* * Translates complex or incomplete data into concise, leadership-ready outputs * Strong PowerPoint skills and ability to highlight key trends, risks, and decisions Nice to Have / Secondary Skills * Power BI experience * IT experience (helpful but not required) * TM1 experience (training available if needed) *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract position based out of San Diego, CA. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $42.00/hr.
