U.S. Facilities, Inc., a consolidated facility management services firm, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the operations in Culver City, CA.


Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: With minimal supervision, performs maintenance and repairs applying knowledge of tradecraft skills in the area(s) of specialization. Maintains mechanical and electrical systems and equipment that supply the building with heat, power, ventilation, air conditioning, and/or refrigeration, and other environmental systems.


DUTIES:



  • Execute preventative maintenance activities on a diverse range of cafe equipment to ensure longevity, optimal performance, and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Complete work order requests accurately and in a timely manner while documenting all actions taken.
  • Perform refrigeration repairs, troubleshooting, and maintenance for cafe equipment.
  • Diagnosing and repair equipment malfunctions quickly and effectively.
  • Conduct continuous equipment monitoring to identify potential issues before escalation.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of cafe facilities, including non-critical building systems.
  • Properly implement Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and all required safety protocols.
  • Serve as a vendor escort, providing support and oversight for projects and task-related activities.
  • Coordinate directly with external vendors for specialized maintenance and repairs while maintaining strict quality control standards.
  • Successfully navigate relationships across multiple business units while maintaining high standards of service and execution.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations that could impact cafe operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all organizational, safety, operational, and environmental regulations.



Minimum Requirements:



  • 3-5 years of experience in kitchen equipment repair or appliance repair.
  • Proven experience in facilities maintenance involving mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and cooking systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex equipment issues.
  • Strong vendor coordination skills with a focus on follow-up and quality control.
  • Ability to manage relationships across multiple business units while maintaining consistently high standards.

  • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment background check and substance abuse test.
  • This position may require a valid Driver's License.

  • This position will require the ability to obtain a security access badge at our client's location.
  • This position may require various shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules.



Physical Requirements:



  • Some tasks will require repetitive wrist movement.
  • Some tasks will require the ability to walk extensively throughout facilities during a workday.
  • Requires the ability to climb extension ladders, roof ladders, stepladders, and stairs as needed during a workday.
  • Requires the flexibility to bend/stoop, squat, kneel, reach/stretch, and move in a 90-degree fashion during the workday.
  • Requires ability to read and understand the information contained in a variety of documents or displayed on a computer screen.
  • Requires ability to use a variety of office equipment and to operate a computer keyboard to access databases, to send/receive messages, and to prepare documents.
  • Requires ability to attend meetings throughout the site and potentially travel to other U.S. Facilities, Inc., customer and/or vendor locations in the area, as well as some air travel to more distant locations.
  • Requires the ability to communicate with others on the telephone and in one-on-one or group discussions, meetings, and presentations.
  • Demonstrated fluency in computer use including the full office suite.
  • Requires the ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Requires the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.



Special Requirements:



  • Wear composite toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and other personal protective equipment as needed.
  • Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained.

Other Attributes:
