The Contribution You'll bring to this Role:

The Distribution Center Office Manager is responsible for overseeing administrative operations within a manufacturing and distribution environment where office staff are salaried employees and distribution center personnel are union-represented. This role ensures efficient office procedures, supports warehouse and logistics teams, and helps maintain effective labor-management relations. The position requires knowledge of collective bargaining agreements, seniority rules, and union work practices, while ensuring compliance with company policies and labor regulations.

What You'll Do at Justrite:



  • Oversee daily office operations within the distribution center, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in administrative processes


  • Manage and supervise salaried administrative staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations


  • Serve as a liaison between management and union representatives, fostering clear and professional communication


  • Interpret and apply collective bargaining agreement (CBA) provisions related to scheduling, overtime, seniority, and job assignments for union-represented distribution center employees


  • Maintain accurate records of employee hours, attendance, grievances, and disciplinary actions in alignment with union requirements


  • Support grievance tracking and documentation, assisting management in resolution processes


  • Coordinate communication between salaried office staff, warehouse personnel, manufacturing, logistics, HR, and corporate teams


  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and production reports


  • Prepare and analyze reports related to operations, labor utilization, staffing, and performance metrics


  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, union agreements, company policies, and safety regulations


  • Support HR functions such as onboarding, timekeeping, and employee records management in accordance with union rules


  • Assist in scheduling to ensure proper staffing levels while adhering to seniority and bid processes for union employees


  • Handle procurement of office supplies and ensure cost-effective purchasing practices


  • Assist in budgeting, invoicing, and financial tracking for the facility


  • Implement and improve office systems and procedures to enhance productivity within a mixed salaried/union workforce environment


  • Serve as a point of contact for vendors, clients, and internal departments



Your Skills and Expertise:

To ensure your success from day one in this role, Justrite requires the following qualifications at a minimum:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred (or equivalent work experience)


  • 3-5 years of administrative or office management experience, preferably in a unionized manufacturing or distribution environment


  • Experience supervising salaried staff and working alongside union-represented employees


  • Working knowledge of collective bargaining agreements, grievance procedures, and labor relations practices


  • Strong knowledge of inventory systems, logistics processes, and office management practices


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP/WMS systems


Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:



  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both salaried staff and union personnel


  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities



Compensation:

The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $77,000 to $82,000.

Actual base salaries will vary and may be above or below the recommended pay range based on factors such as but not limited to location, relevant experience and performance. Additionally, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan to enhance their overall total compensation package when Justrite Safety Group and their business units achieve annual business and financial targets.
