This position provides high-level administrative support to the Animal Cancer Center and its Director. Major duties include managing the Director's calendar and correspondence, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, organizing and executing events, drafting written reports, tracking data and expenditures, managing website and social media updates, hiring and supervising student workers, coordinating meetings, arranging travel, responding to inquiries, and maintaining organized records and files. During periods of lower administrative demand, this position may provide support to clinical oncology services and/or research staff as needed. Other duties as assigned. |

High school diploma or equivalency and three years of progressively responsible administrative or office management experience; or an associate's degree in secretarial science, business administration, or a related discipline and one year of relevant experience; or a bachelor's degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experienc. |

Exceptional communication skills with the ability to produce clear, concise documents and correspondence. Proficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office. Strong organizational, time management, and financial management skills. Project management and event planning experience. Resourceful, adaptable, and professional, with discretion in handling sensitive information. |

Experience drafting executive-level correspondence and communications on behalf of leadership. Experience updating websites and managing social media accounts. Proficiency in calendar management, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, and event planning and execution. Experience in a healthcare, academic, or research setting. Familiarity with grant or research project coordination, including tracking deadlines and formatting documents. Experience hiring, supervising, or mentoring student workers or volunteers. Experience working in a University setting or in the non-profit sector. Comfort with fundraising / liaising with donors. |
