POSITION SPECIFICS Join the Pennsylvania State University Libraries as a Library Services Specialist and support access to extensive government information and microform collections. The Microforms and Government Information team, home to this position, provides consultation and research support for federal, state, and international government resources, as well as specialized microform collections comprising over 96,000 reels of microfilm, 144,000 microfiche, and 12,000 microopaque sheets. The Library Services Specialist plays a key part in maintaining and organizing these collections, delivering research and reference services, supporting user access to microform technology, and collaborating with library partners to ensure high quality public services and efficient operations. MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS If filled as Library Services Specialist - Advanced Professional, this position requires: Bachelor's Degree 3+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: None If filled as Library Services Specialist - Intermediate Professional, this position requires: Bachelor's Degree 1+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: NoneA degree in history, political science, library science, or a related field will be considered a plus.
