Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Mortgage Loan Processor to join a dynamic lending team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This role will support the end-to-end loan process, working closely with members and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate loan completion. Key Responsibilities * Manage a pipeline of 20-30 loans simultaneously using a round-robin assignment system * Take ownership of loans after initial opening, driving them through full processing * Review loan files for completeness and accuracy * Communicate directly with members to request and collect required documentation * Coordinate with underwriting to submit and review findings * Ensure files move efficiently through processing milestones to clear-to-close * Reopen files when additional documentation or clarification is needed Required Qualifications * 1+ year of mortgage processing experience (home equity experience is acceptable as a starting point) * Experience working in a bank, credit union, or financial services environment * Familiarity with FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines * Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple loans at once * Excellent time management and customer service skills Preferred Qualifications * Experience in home equity loan processing * Background as a Loan Officer Assistant or in underwriting support * Experience working with DU (Desktop Underwriter) findings * Bilingual (Spanish) skills are a plus Work Environment * Hybrid model: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote * Collaborative team environment with structured workflows * Opportunity for long-term growth and full-time conversion What We're Looking For * Highly organized and detail-driven professionals * Individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment * Strong communicators who provide excellent member/customer service Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Vernon Hills, IL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
